Write to hello@writeback.ink and a person will answer.

There is no send button

Write or draw anywhere with one finger, then stop for about a second. That pause is what sends it. The page travels to clean paper and a hand writes back, one stroke at a time.

The rest of it

If the hand says it is out of ink

Every phone gets a set number of replies each day. When they run out the page says so in the same handwriting as everything else, and the count starts again in the morning. Nothing you have written is affected. The app is free and there is nothing to buy.

If a reply never arrives

You get a short pencilled note instead of an answer. Each one means something different, so tell us which one you saw and we can usually say why. Drawing again will retry.

Your pages

Everything you write is kept on your phone and is included in its iCloud backup, so restoring a phone brings your pages with it. Deleting the app deletes them, and we have no copy to restore for you.

Speaking

Dictation happens entirely on your phone. Nothing is recorded and no audio leaves the device.

Privacy

You are never asked for a name, an email or a password. The privacy policy says plainly what does and does not leave your phone.
